Phantom Foiling : Ahead of its time
For over 20 years, Phantom has been redefining the standards of performance on the water. In this company, we don't adapt to the market: we anticipate it. Whether it's in sailing, windsurfing, or surf foiling, Phantom develops high-quality gear designed to push the limits. Every product is born from a demanding specification, guided by a single goal: performance.
Excellence from day one
The story begins with the design of competitive sails. Surrounded by experts such as Olivier Backes and Matthieu Vandame, Alex Udin, founder of Phantom and master sailmaker, immediately focused on collective excellence. In 2010, the team won its first F18 World Championship title: the first validation of this rigorous, collective approach. In 2012, the first Phantom catamaran won the F18 World Championship in Los Angeles.
Flying Phantom: A New Era
Quickly, one intuition becomes clear: the future is in flight. The Flying Phantom is born, a foil catamaran designed for pure performance, accessible to high-level teams as well as ambitious enthusiasts. This boat represents a breakthrough in the world of competitive sailing.
Franck Cammas himself says: "This is the sail of tomorrow, and it starts today."
Success comes swiftly: Oracle, Groupama, Artemis, and Red Bull all adopt the Flying Phantom for training or competition. The America's Cup is no longer a distant dream: it becomes a reachable playground.

The Bet on Complete Windfoil Rigging
In 2019, the creation of Phantom Foiling marks a new milestone: the bold decision to develop the entire windfoil rigging in-house: board, complete foil, mast, and sail. An ambitious technical shift driven by a team of experts united by the same performance-driven commitment.
The results follow: Nicolas Goyard breaks the 40-knot barrier, a historic turning point. Pierre Mortefon also becomes world champion, a symbol of a momentum that shows no signs of slowing down.

At the Extreme of Foiling, on Giant Waves
The progress continues with surf foiling and wing foiling. On the biggest waves in the world, riders like Matt Etxebarne and Tom Constant push the limits with equipment designed specifically to handle the extreme. Nothing is left to chance, and there is no room for improvisation.

A United Team, Solid Skills, Shared Vision
Phantom Foiling's identity is built on the diversity of the profiles that make up its team. Engineers, designers, athletes, everyone is driven by the same passion. It's this complementarity of talents that structures the company, allowing it to quickly design cutting-edge products.
Between 2002 and 2025, Phantom has managed to evolve, innovate, and stay true to its core principles.
Today, the structure is stable, efficient, and most importantly: ready to take on what's next.

The Next Chapter Has Already Begun
New disciplines, new races, even more advanced products are on the way. Phantom Foiling continues to move forward with the same mindset: never compromising on performance, quality, or ambition.
This is not the end of a cycle, it’s a new beginning.
